Get in touch with a little known country, Albania is surrounded in mystery. It´s recent history has kept Albania in the shadows but now, due to recent political reform, you can experience the beauty of it´s unspoilt countryside. Travel over the Greek/Albanian borders towards the captivating ancient site of Butrint. Situated in green forests and over looking a lagoon, the site at Butrint is atmospheric and intriging. A mixture of histories including ancient Greek and Roman blend together in the ruins. 
 

After the history, the modern town - Agios Saranda. This coastal town is popular with Albanians for holidays and honeymoons. The name, meaning Forty Saints, comes from a local early Christian monastry. In an attractive position between the mountainous background and the Ionian Sea, Agios Saranda has a bustling harbour front with restaurants and cafes overlooking the thin stretch of beach.

08:00 Arrival at border control at the town of Mavromati

08.30 Depart for the Archaeological site of Butrint. Guided tour.

14.00 Depart for Agios Saranda

17:30   Commence return journey to Parga

19:00 Approx arrival in Parga
